Most of what people ask, answered here

So you do not have to write to us.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No. You can book directly. If you have a referral for a specific plan we will work to it, and if a GP should see you first we will tell you.
How do I book?
Call (03) 9629 4299. Consultations are by appointment. Online booking is coming; today the phone is the fastest route and someone who knows the diary answers it.
How soon can I be seen?
It varies week to week. Ask when you call. We will give you the soonest real appointment rather than a vague answer.
Can I just come to a class?
No, and this is deliberate. Everyone starts with a 45-minute one-to-one assessment so the program fits you and the technique is taught before you are in a room with other people.
What are the three ways it runs?
Individual, group classes, and online. All three run. Which one suits you is decided at your assessment with the instructor.
How many people are in a class?
Capped, deliberately, so the instructor is watching rather than leading. Places must be booked in advance.

Some things should not wait for an appointment

Chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness, a head injury, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fever with back pain. Call 000 or go to an emergency department.

Ask before you book

Describe what is going on and we will tell you whether it needs a physiotherapist, a doctor, or nothing at all. Sometimes the answer is that it will settle by itself, and we will say so.

Choosing a time

Booking is a phone call today. Cliniko online booking is licensed and not yet switched on — when it is, the live availability grid appears here. Until then, calling gets you a real answer from someone looking at the actual diary.

state · phone-onlyThis whole section is replaced by live availability once online booking is enabled.

state · no-times-soonWhen the diary is full, you are told the soonest real date rather than shown an empty week.

What we will ask on the call

Who you are
Name, a contact number, and your date of birth.
What it is about
A sentence is enough: the detail happens in the room.
Cover or claim
Your health fund for HICAPS, or your claim number and insurer for TAC, WorkCover, Comcare or DVA.

Until online booking is live these are taken on the call, so this is the script rather than a form.

What gets read back to you

When and how long
The date, the time, and the length of the appointment.
